Fancy fonts are not real fonts. They use the Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols block in the Unicode standard, which defines decorative versions of every letter and digit. When you type a normal letter, the generator looks up its decorative equivalent and outputs that Unicode character instead. Because it is standard Unicode text, it displays without requiring any font installation on the reader's device.
Script gives a flowing, elegant look suitable for personal bios and creative captions. Fraktur has a bold, gothic feel that works for edgy or dark-themed content. Double-struck gives a hollow, outlined look that stands out in headlines. Bold and sans-serif are more readable while still looking distinct from normal text. Monospace gives a technical, code-like feel. Mix styles sparingly to create visual hierarchy without overwhelming the reader.
Most modern devices and platforms support Unicode mathematical alphanumeric symbols, so fancy text renders correctly in the vast majority of cases. However, some older Android devices, certain email clients, and some games may show fallback characters or boxes instead of the fancy letters. If a style does not render on your target platform, try a simpler style like bold or sans-serif, which has broader support. Punctuation, spaces, and special characters always pass through unchanged because they do not have fancy Unicode equivalents.
